Dodson & Horrell furthers its support of British showjumpers as it announces sponsorship of Jess Dimmock and Tom Whitaker, cementing its backing of young showjumpers as they progress their international careers.
Jess Dimmock, based in Northamptonshire, experienced a very successful career in ponies before moving up to horses. Trained by Tim Stockdale, Jess has received some excellent results in Grand Prix classes in Spain, Keysoe, and Chepstow throughout 2017. In May, Jess made her Nations Cup debut at the Drammen Spring Tour in Norway aboard the 9-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare, Cybel II.
Jess was then selected to join the Great Britain Team in Gothenburg, contesting the Under 25 Grand Prix with her relatively new ride Cassius Clay. They jumped double clear to finish 7th, with Team GBR finishing in 4th place overall.
Jess commented on the new sponsorship, “I am delighted to be supported by such a world renowned feed company – and they are very local to me so we can easily stay in touch. Dodson & Horrell is based 25 miles down the road from us so it’s wonderful to form a partnership with them.”
Also joining Team Dodson & Horrell is fellow showjumper, Tom Whitaker. Son of Steven Whitaker and brother to Ellen, Joe and Donald. Tom, who was crowned 2006 Junior Show Jumper of the Year, has had a successful year building his string of horses on the international circuit. Tom is based at his yard in Godalming, Surrey, where he produces top class competition horses.
“I’m really looking forward to the future, especially as 2018 is already shaping up to be a great year. I’m excited to see what results my horses produce as they benefit from being fed by Dodson & Horrell” added Tom.
Sam Horrell, CEO at Dodson & Horrell said “It’s great to strengthen our support for young British showjumpers who are making their way up through the ranks. We remain committed to improving equine nutrition – our aim is to #feedtowin.”
