Ahead of the bet365 Jump Finale held at Sandown Racecourse which marks the end 2017/2018 National Hunt Season on Saturday 28 April, Dodson & Horrell have presented the Employee of the Season award at 10-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ Manor Farm Stables this morning, as this was a big award Head lad Clifford Baker was asked to have the casting vote and was delighted to award this to Kate McCormack.
“Kate has been a full-time member of staff with us since July 2013 and has proved herself to be an extremely dedicated and valued member of the team, whether this be within the yard or at the races. She continues to look after and ride the horses in her care to a high standard, they are always presented beautifully at the races and she takes real pride in this. This season Kate has built up great relationships with the horses she rides every day including Secret Investor and her absolute favourite Captain Cattistock, who she was delighted to see progress so well through the season winning three hurdle races. Kate is a thoroughly deserving winner and we are very pleased to reward all her hard work” said Clifford Baker.
As winner of the Employee of the Season Kate receives £150 worth of vouchers for racing supplier Treehouse Sporting Colours, courtesy of Dodson & Horrell. The award was set up to recognise the hard work and dedication that the staff at the yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition.
“I was delighted to be presented with the award today and receive such a great prize from Dodson & Horrell! It means a lot for my hard work to be recognised and lovely to end the season on such a positive note” commented Kate.
