The first Dodson & Horrell Employee of the Month award of 2018 has been presented to Lucy Sharp, who is in her seventh season at 10-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ yard. The award was set up to recognise the hard work and dedication that the staff at the yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition. Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer selected the winner and presented the award. The winner receives a Dodson & Horrell gilet and a £30 gift voucher, both courtesy of Dodson & Horrell.
“Lucy has been lucky enough to look after some fantastic horses including Dodging Bullets who is now enjoying a lovely retirement with Lucy at her home. She works hard and is an incredibly reliable member of the team who takes an awful lot of pride in the horses she looks after and rides. One of her highlights so far this season was Politologue winning the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase at the beginning of December. Lucy rides Politologue out every day and has kept him in great shape ahead of his targets, it meant an awful lot for her to see him win such a big race for the team,” commented Harry.
“I was delighted to win employee of the month, it means a lot to know my hard work has been recognised and appreciated. I think this award is a really good way to reward us.” commented Lucy.
