August – Rodrigo Ramos
After the summer break, the first Dodson & Horrell Employee of the Month of the 2018/19 season has been presented to Rodrigo Ramos. The award was set up to recognise the hard work and dedication that the staff at 10-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition. Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer and his panel of selectors chose the winner and Harry presented the prize. The winner receives a Dodson & Horrell gilet and a £30 gift voucher, both courtesy of Dodson & Horrell.
“Rodrigo is the Yard Man at our main yard where he is incredibly efficient in his daily tasks and always keeps the yard looking clean and tidy. He takes a lot of pride in his work and has some lovely horses in his care, including Grade 1 winning Politologue. His horses are always turned out very well at the races, as is Rodrigo who can often be seen leading up in a pair of shoes which match the jockeys colours! Rodrigo is a real character to have around the yard and often has the team laughing, we are very happy to be able to reward him for all his hard work,” commented Harry.
