Leicestershire based, talented young event rider Willa Newton is to be added to the list of supported riders by Europe’s leading equine feed manufacturer, Dodson & Horrell.
Willa (26) is now in her fifth year as a professional event rider and has had great success to date. She produced some exciting results last season including winning the 8/9 year old National Championships at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials with her now 9 year old Caja 20. Willa has been tipped as one to watch this season and is looking forward to aiming Chance Remark at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, owned by Feena Machin and Peter Thomas.
Willa is also still competing Neelix who took her from Pony Club Championships to her first CCI4*, winning team gold at the Junior Europeans in 2008 and representing Great Britain at three consecutive Young Rider European Championships taking Team Gold and Individual Silver at Blair Castle in 2011.
Willa said, “I am very excited to be working with Dodson & Horrell. We’ve fed our horses D&H for many years and know we can rely on its quality feed to achieve top performances from my string of horses.” “Having supplied feed and nutritional advice to Willa and her family over a long period of time, this is the perfect fit for Dodson & Horrell. We are proud to be working with her to achieve her goals for the season and look forward to following her journey throughout the year,” added Dodson & Horrell CEO Sam Horrell.
Willa joins New Zealand event rider Jesse Campbell and British showjumper Joe Davison as part of Dodson & Horrell’s team of up and coming supported riders. This broadens Dodson & Horrell’s support in equestrian sport along with its continued commitment to support its team of Brand Ambassadors
