Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) has announced that one of Europe’s leading horse feed manufacturers, Dodson & Horrell, have pledged their support of dressage at the RDA National Championships for three years.
The RDA National Championship is the biggest event of its kind in the world for disabled horse riders and carriage drivers. RDA’s flagship event, the Championships unites hundreds of competitors of all abilities in events including Dressage, Carriage Driving, Countryside Challenge, Showjumping, Vaulting and Showing. In previous years it has proved a springboard for the Paralympics, with many of the current Team GB having competed at the event. RDA Interim CEO, Paul Ringer, said this about the three-year long support, “We are grateful to Dodson & Horrell for supporting dressage at RDA for three years. Dressage at our RDA National Championships is a fantastic display of skill and accuracy, and in the past has been a springboard for riders joining the para-dressage pathway. I’d like to thank Dodson & Horrell for their ongoing support of RDA and helping us to nurture and develop the talent of RDA riders across the UK.”
Dodson & Horrell are a leading horse feed supplier. Their range of equine feeds offer complete nutritional solutions for high performance and competition horses, racing, showing, breeding and leisure riding. They also cater for horses with additional needs, such as veterans, and those in need of everyday support such as higher fibre or weight management.
Lucy Scott, Marketing Manager at Dodson & Horrell, commented, “We are extremely pleased to announce our support of the RDA National Championships and are excited to welcome this brilliant event back to the competition calendar. The work the RDA does and the support it provides for the equestrian community is invaluable to riders across the country. Being able to be involved and support the event and indeed the RDA themselves as an organisation, is something we’re very proud of.”
The RDA National Championships will be taking place on the 17-19 July, following a lengthy three-year break due to the pandemic. Members of the organisation will be coming from across the UK to compete and have fun together.
