The December Dodson & Horrell Employee of the Month award has been presented Keagan Kirby. The award recognises and celebrates the hard work and dedication that the staff at 12-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition. Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer and his panel of selectors, which includes pupil Assistant, Charlie Davies, chose the winner and Harry presented the prize.
Harry commented, “Although it is hard to pick one person out when all of our staff have been working really hard and having to pull together as a team during the past few weeks, we feel that Keagan is a very worthy winner of the prize for December.
Keagan originally came to us for work experience whilst still at school and is now in his third season with us as a full-time employee having previously worked with Will Biddick. Keagan is always smiling, works hard and is a real trooper to have around the yard, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Keagan's favourite horse is Highland Hunter who he rides every day and led up for his victory at Sandown early in December and also at Chepstow for his very brave second in the Welsh National.”
