The May 2018 Dodson & Horrell Employee of the Month has been presented to Alex Thorne. The award was set up to recognise the hard work and dedication that the staff at 10-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition. Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer and his panel of selectors chose the winner and Harry presented the prize. The winner receives a Dodson & Horrell gilet and a £30 gift voucher, both courtesy of Dodson & Horrell.
“Alex joined the team last July as a Conditional Jockey after moving from Scotland and has now completed his first season with us. Alex has worked hard to continue to progress and improve his riding and takes on board any advice he is given. He is an incredibly hard-working member of the team, who looks after his horses and does his yard work to a high standard and is a cheerful person to have around with his positive outlook on life. Alex is a thoroughly deserving winner of the prize” commented Harry.
