Dodson & Horrell welcomes New Zealand event rider Caroline Powell to its team of elite Brand Ambassadors. Dodson & Horrell is proud of its ongoing support of riders across multiple equestrian disciplines.
Best known for her long term association with crowd favourite Lenamore, with whom she won team bronze in London. The gutsy little grey gelding won Burghley CCI5* with Caroline in 2010 and made two appearances for Team New Zealand at Olympic level as well as enjoying much success with seven completions at Badminton and five at Burghley. Lenamore was still enjoying himself in the 2013 Hickstead Eventers Derby at 20 years old looking as feisty as ever thanks to Caroline’s long term care and is still enjoying being ridden by his owner.
Caroline, who is currently based in Suffolk, is moving to her own new yard near Newmarket in April, with partner Greg Kinsella, with plans to develop it into world class facilities for training and producing both horses and riders. Her current string includes the striking grey, Up Up and Away and On The Brash who will continue their 5* campaigns in 2019, with the younger horses moving swiftly up the levels.
Caroline says "I guess I am an old fashioned feeder and like things to be nice and simple, which is why I’ve fed Dodson & Horrell for a number of years. Dodson & Horrell feeds are of the highest quality and the ranges that they offer means there is something to suit every horse on my yard.”
Gemma Schwarz, Head of Marketing, commented, “It’s great to have Caroline onboard, the strength and longevity of her career is a true testament to her talent. We can’t wait to see what this season has in store for her and her team.”
