The January Dodson & Horrell Employee of the Month award has been presented to Joe Wroe. The award recognises and celebrates the hard work and dedication that the staff at 11-time Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls’ yard put in to get the horses to the track in peak condition. Harry Derham, Assistant Trainer and his panel of selectors, which includes pupil Assistant, Charlie Davies, chose the winner and Harry presented the prize.
Harry commented, “Joe has been a popular and enthusiastic member of Team Ditcheat since 2018 and is a regular face at the races with our horses. Joe has recently swapped riding out for helping around the yard with maintenance and other essential daily tasks. A large part of that has included him being up at 4am on some bitterly cold mornings salting and gritting the yards and roads so that our horses can get to the gallops and exercise as usual. As a result of this extra effort we feel that Joe is a very worthy winner of the Employee of the Month award for January!”
