£2,500 worth of horse feed is to be donated by leading equine feed manufacturer Dodson & Horrell as part of the Riding for Disabled Association’s (RDA) Covid-19 Emergency Fund Appeal.
The RDA has 500 groups around the country that have had to close due to Covid-19, meaning the loss of their vital weekly income, which supports the care of their horses and other day to day expenses. Around the UK, over 4,000 horses and ponies are affected and still need food and care. With no clear idea of when the RDA’s activities will be able to start again, some of their groups may have to close permanently, meaning they will not be able to resume the vital services they deliver to disabled children and adults.
Dodson & Horrell has stepped in to help provide some of the essential care that is needed for these amazing horses and pones that do such an incredible job every day to improve the lives of disabled children and adults. After consultation with the RDA and Dodson & Horrell’s experienced team of nutritionists the most appropriate feeds for the horses and ponies in question will be distributed directly to larger RDA centres around the UK, providing the absolute best nutrition for these equine heroes.
