Dodson & Horrell at Your Horse Live 2024

12th November 2024

We had a fantastic weekend at this year’s Your Horse Live, packed with meeting new faces, reconnecting with loyal customers, and sharing our best winter feeding advice to support equestrians. The event was a great chance to discuss winter feeding solutions with horse owners facing seasonal challenges, as well as to connect with our brand ambassadors who made this weekend extra special.

Our lineup of D&H masterclasses proved a big hit, kicking off with Lucinda and Ellie Fredericks guiding spectators through cross-country training techniques to build skill and confidence at home. Ben Atkinson followed with his unmissable training tips for working with all types of horses, before Richard and Joe Davison wrapped up the afternoon with insights on improving horse responsiveness and partnership.

We also had the privilege of catching up with Laura Collett, fresh from an amazing season that included her Olympic medal win and nominations for the FEI Athlete of the Year and The Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year. Reflecting on her year, Laura shared, “It’s amazing to be nominated, especially as Sportswoman of the Year for The Times. For us, eventing is massive but in reality it's a very small sport, so to get any form of recognition and just to make the shortlist is incredible.”

Another highlight was chatting with Piggy March about her incredible charity effort for Cycle4Caroline. Piggy is raising funds by cycling 1,100km miles across the UK, visiting equestrian centres and venues along the way, to raise money for the British Eventing Support Trust and Signal Research. We encourage everyone to get involved and donate to this inspiring journey. Find out how to show your support here.

On the Horse & Country stage, our Head of Nutrition, Dr. Stephanie Wood, delivered an insightful talk on tackling winter feeding challenges. Her advice on nutritional solutions resonated with horse owners looking for straightforward ways to manage their horses’ health and condition through winter.

It was a packed but rewarding weekend, and we’re grateful to everyone who stopped by to chat, catch a masterclass, or share their own winter feeding experiences. Here’s to a season of keeping things easy and enjoyable for horse owners everywhere – let’s make this winter a success!
