This is Night Comes In, more affectionately known as ‘Arthur’. He is a 9-year-old Thoroughbred Gelding, standing at 16.2hh. I have had Arthur since March 2019. Prior to me purchasing Arthur, he had been in training at a local racing yard where he raced several times but showed little promise. During his time in training, he was notorious for not eating up and being very fussy with his food.
My priority was of course, sorting out a suitable diet for him as he was under weight and I was given the heads up about his fussy nature with food. I was very fortunate that a good friend of mine, Hannah Routledge who was a member of the D&H team, came out to see Arthur within days of me bringing him home. Now, almost 2 years on, Arthur is looking better than I could ever have imagined.
We have finally found a diet which he loves, and he eats all 3 of his meals every day with no problem. This would not have been possible without the incredible support I have received from Hannah at D&H, her regular visits with the weigh bridge, answering all my questions and helping me to find a diet which has worked so well for my very fussy and challenging horse. I would not feed anything else now, the results speak for themselves.
