My son bought Oakley, a Dutch Warmblood x Hanoverian in March of this year at 22 months old from the field where he had been for 12/18 months or so. He had the most awful worm burden we have ever seen, had a very rough winter and was underweight lacking in muscle and condition. On vets advice we had to start his food intake and build him up very slowly to avoid further problems.
We spoke to Dodson and Horrell and they recommended Suregrow. We put Oakley on this for three or four months and we started to notice the difference straight away, he was more alert and happier and his overall condition started to improve, as did his height! With the help of the increased nutrients, he made up for lost time and shot up from 15-1 to16-1 hands in just over three months!
Now Oakley was getting bigger and hungrier we decided to put him on Mare and Youngstock Mix. He still has a way to go but I am pleased to say the difference in six months thanks to Dodson and Horrell mixed with the love and attention he deserves, our loveable big baby is thriving. Couldn't be any more pleased and we are looking forward to his future.
