Tom was born into a horse family and started riding at the age of 4, Ever since then he couldn’t get enough of horses and has been working hard towards his goals. With his mum as his trainer he was able to compete at the pony European championships, with his pony ”Brugmans Tobru”. At the age of 17, Tom started his first job as a rider for Stal Eurocommerce together with Wim and Gerco Schroeder. During his time there he got a silver medal at the junior European Championships and also competed at the young rider Europeans. After gaining many years of experience and developing as a rider Tom competed up to 5 star level, winning many national and international Grand Prix’s along the way. Nowadays he focuses on producing top level young horses for the sport and he is based in the east of the Netherlands.
